SMULO
CHALLENGES: How many functions must a product have? How many products must be offered in one product line to cover different needs? Does consumption always mean expansion, variation, or extension? What about reducing design with the principle of "as less as possible, as much as necessary"?
With this concept, SMULO (instant freeze-dried smoothie pearls) is designed to simplify the fuzzy process of smoothie preparation - peeling, cutting fresh fruits, blending, mixing, and cleaning up all the mess and the tools at the end. One package of SMULO mixed with 500ml of water equals an extra-large glass of tasty smoothie.
SOLUTION: Freeze-dry is a food preservation method used to dehydrate foods without damaging nutrients nor fibre, so one shot of SMULO contains as many vitamins as 200-250g of fresh fruits.
The SMULO shaker is specially designed for making a smoothie on the go. Simply just remove the lid by leaving the dissolvable rice paper seal intact, load the SMULO pearls, including the cup, fill the bottle with water, and shake.
RESULT: SMULO comes in different flavors: mango, berries, power greens, and the mixture of all flavors in one. A product line that reduces smoothie preparation time and lets a smoothie easily made anywhere.
